Job Description: We are seeking a highly creative and passionate Creative Director to join General Object and lead the artistic direction of our digital publishing projects. As the Creative Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing our brand's digital products, ensuring our materials are visually stunning, educational, and resonate with our target audience. You will work closely with a team of talented designers, illustrators and sales team to create lo-fi, beautiful, and engaging resources that support collaborative learning experiences for families.
Responsibilities: • Develop and articulate a compelling creative vision and brand strategy that aligns with General Object's mission and target audience. • Lead and execute the creative development process from concept to execution, ensuring consistent and visually captivating materials. • Oversee and execute the design and production of digital printables and other digital resources, maintaining high standards of quality and aesthetics. • Stay ahead of industry trends, educational practices, and emerging technologies to bring fresh ideas and innovation to our projects. • Collaborate with cross-functional team members such as sales manager. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Creative Director or similar role, preferably in the digital publishing industry or related fields. • A strong portfolio showcasing your creative vision, expertise in design, and experience with digital publishing projects. • Excellent visual and artistic sensibility, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating lo-fi, beautiful, and engaging materials. • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Procreate and familiarity with digital publishing tools. • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a creative team. • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to effectively work with cross-functional teams. • A deep understanding of educational principles and child development, with an emphasis on collaborative learning. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, Education, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
